How much does a move cost with Move-tastic!?

Our pricing is based on an hourly rate that varies depending on a few key details, such as the size of your crew, the distance between locations, and the specifics of your move. We also keep a close eye on local pricing to make sure our rates remain fair and competitive.

Are there any items that can’t be transported?

Yes. For safety reasons, we can’t transport hazardous or flammable materials, liquids, weapons, or explosives. We also ask that you do not include perishable items or any live animals in your shipment.

What size move can you accommodate?

Our trucks range from 16 to 26 feet in length and are usually the right fit for one- to three-bedroom apartments. For larger homes or moves with more volume, we can schedule multiple trucks to handle everything safely and efficiently.

How does scheduling work?

Each crew usually completes two moves per day, one earlier in the day and one later. The first move begins around 8 or 9 a.m. and continues until everything has been delivered and unloaded at the new location. Though we do provide time estimates, the exact length of a move can vary.

Because of that, afternoon and evening moves don’t have set start times. The schedule depends on when the morning job wraps up. If you’re booked for later in the day, please be ready for your move to begin sometime between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.

Do you have an hourly minimum?

There is a 2-hour minimum for all residential moves. After that, any additional time is billed in 15-minute increments. We do this to make sure you’re only charged for the time you use.

Do you provide receipts to customers?

Yes. After your move is complete, we’ll send you a detailed bill of lading by email. This document serves as your official receipt and includes a full breakdown of the services we provided.

Do you move pianos and other large, unruly items?

We can move upright and spinet pianos, along with many other large or heavy items. Additional handling fees may apply depending on the item. While we don’t handle grand or baby grand pianos directly, we can connect you with trusted specialty movers. For the most accurate details, we recommend calling or emailing us to discuss your specific items.

When do I need to book my move?

The end of the month is our busiest time, so we recommend reaching out early to secure your preferred date. We do our best to help with last-minute moves as well, especially if another company falls through and we have room in our schedule.

All bookings are handled on a first-come, first-served basis, and availability can change quickly. Your move is only confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from our team.

Do you provide blankets and shrink-wrap?

When you use our trucks, we’ve got you covered. We offer shrink wrap for a small, one-time materials fee – we don’t charge per item. And we use everything we need to protect your belongings. It’s a good idea to keep material costs in mind when comparing quotes, since per-item charges can add up quickly and catch people off guard.
