By booking with MOVE-TASTIC, INC., the CLIENT is subject to and in agreement with the following terms of service:
Although MOVE-TASTIC, INC. always tries to meet the scheduled start time, it is impossible to predict all of the possible variables, such as traffic and the duration of the previous move. Therefore, MOVE-TASTIC, INC. cannot discount late arrivals.
An estimate is a non-binding, general idea of how long a move will take under normal conditions. The actual move may take more time than estimated due to an insufficient inventory list, greater distance, traffic and other unforeseen factors.
Afternoon and evening moves do not have fixed start times. They will vary depending on when previous moves are finished.
We kindly request that any afternoon CLIENT is available to start their moves anytime between 1pm and 5pm.
All afternoon moves do not have a set start time. It is the CLIENT’S responsibility to be prepared to move as early as 1PM and as late as 5PM. This includes all arrangements that must be made with the buildings.
It is the CLIENT’S responsibility to be packed and ready to go on moving day, unless they are using our packing services. Extra charges/time may apply if the CLIENT is not packed or is still packing.
It is the CLIENT'S responsibility to schedule elevator reservations with their building and to notify MOVE-TASTIC, INC. of their time restrictions prior to the day of the move (providing 1-week advanced notice is ideal). While MOVE-TASTIC, INC. will make every effort to accommodate the elevator reservations, we cannot be held liable for any elevator reservation fees or any moving fees or penalties that a building may impose upon the CLIENT.
Any changes to the CLIENT’S move (additional items or boxes, location changes, etc.) should be brought to MOVE-TASTIC, INC.’s attention as early as possible. Failure to do so may result in the move taking longer than the estimated time frame.
All downtime is billable (waiting for elevator setup, property key holder is late, etc.)
MOVE-TASTIC, INC. will not be held responsible for damages to furniture items the CLIENT chooses to not have padded and/or shrink wrapped. Additionally, it is the CLIENT'S responsibility to have all belongings packed and contained in boxes prior to the move. If a CLIENT does not protect and contain all of their belongings, MOVE-TASTIC, INC. shall not be held liable for damage sustained to items that reasonably could have been contained in a box or other appropriate moving container.
MOVE-TASTIC, INC. does it’s best to point out previous furniture damage, and can not be held responsible for any item that is damaged prior to moving.
Due to a lack of structural integrity, MOVE-TASTIC, INC. is not liable for damage that occurs to any furniture made of pressed wood or particleboard. Additionally, most flat-pack ready-to-assemble furniture is not designed to be disassembled nor is it structurally designed to be transported assembled and therefore is prone to damage in transit. (As per state law: MF-ILL.C.C. 272 - GENERAL RULES & REGULATIONS - Effective as of April 1, 2001)
MOVE-TASTIC, INC. will not be held responsible for damages to items within boxes not packed by MOVE-TASTIC, INC., unless physical damage is done to the box during the move.
MOVE-TASTIC, INC. shall not be liable for damage to concrete or stone items as micro or macro fractures of geological origin may be present in the stone slabs but not visible to the naked eye. Additionally, moisture and thermal cycles may cause distress and failure within the panels over time.
MOVE-TASTIC, INC. will exercise the greatest care and take every reasonable precaution to avoid any damage, but due to the underlying inherent variability of these materials, MOVE-TASTIC, INC. is not liable for any damage that may occur while transporting these items.
Notice of cancellation must be given 72 hours prior to the day of the CLIENT’S move via email or phone (voicemail cancellations not accepted). the CLIENT will be charged $150 for failure to provide notice.
The state of Illinois restricts the items that movers are legally allowed to
transport so the CLIENT will need to plan to pack and coordinate the transport
of these items. As we are not allowed to pack or transport the following items,
we cannot accept any responsibility for the loss or damage to:
